The Office of Foreign Assets Control has filed a proposed rule governing the availability of Civil Penalties informationPDF icon with the Federal Register. The notice provides the opportunity to make written comments about the proposed rule which must be received on or before July 19, 2002. Comments may be submitted via regular mail to the attention of Chief of Records, ATTN: Request for Comments, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20220, via facsimile to the Chief of Records at 202/622-1657, or electronically via OFAC's website. OFAC is unable to consider comments accompanied by a request that a part or all of the material be treated confidentially. All public comments will become a matter of public record and will be made available on OFAC's website not earlier than sixty days after the date the rule becomes final.
