Purpose of the Event

This conference, sponsored by the Federal government Offices of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, was originally established in 1990 as the Procurement Opportunities Conference & Exposition.  The purpose of the conference is to provide networking and educational opportunities to all conference participants.  In the past we have been successful in bringing small businesses, large corporations and government agencies together in one place.  According to Set-Aside Alert (April 28, 2000), "this conference is becoming a must attend.....".

In addition to networking opportunities on the Exhibit Floor, we will host four seminars, the ever-popular "One on One Counseling Sessions" with program managers and procurement representatives, and offer on-site procurement opportunities.

Large businesses with government contracts and federal government agencies are continually seeking small, minority, 8(a), SDB, service-disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned and women-owned businesses. The OSDBU Procurement Conference offers the opportunity for these entities to connect with quality vendors and subcontractors who can help them with their contracting needs and requirements.

INCREASE YOUR CONTRACTS - ATTEND THIS EVENT

Large businesses and the federal government purchase just about everything. This is your opportunity to network and find potential new contracting opportunities with exhibitors and other attendees. If you own or work for a small business -- women-owned, minority, SDB. 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned,  veteran-owned, or HUBZone -- this is the place to be!

A partial list of products and services that exhibitors are looking for is provided here.

Many of our conference exhibitors will participate in one-on-one counseling sessions.   Information on who will be available for counseling will be posted on or after March 4, 2004. CCR Registration for appointments is conducted using the Treasury automated scheduling system. This will permit vendors to select up to 5 counselors, electronically. The appointments will be scheduled and an email confirmation notice will be sent to them immediately.

INCREASE YOUR RESOURCES - EXHIBIT AT THE CONFERENCE

All businesses and government agencies looking for an opportunity to find potential new suppliers and build on their base of resources should participate in this show. This is the perfect occasion to find qualified, eager small businesses who want to help you solve your challenges effectively.

Why is this Event So Important to Your Business?

  • Make New Contacts: This marketing opportunity allows your sales staff to meet with hundreds of potential customers, suppliers or contractors in one day.
  • Meet Major Purchasers: Over 40 federal, state and local government agencies and large businesses will be exhibiting to discuss their contracting/subcontracting requirements.
  • Market Your Company: Exhibit in the trade fair and market your company to government buyers, corporate buyers and local businesses.

Meet with hundreds of potential customers or vendors in a short period of time!

Educational Opportunities

Seminars will be available throughout the day exploring many aspects of the changing procurement process.

Newcomers to the federal marketplace can learn how to make their way through the procurement process for prime contracts and subcontracts with large business contractors.
