Medical Standards are provided to aid the Agency medical reviewing physician and the Internal Revenue Service - Inspection officials in determining what medical problems may hinder the individual's ability to satisfactorily perform the actual work without undue risk to himself/herself or others. They are also to be used to ensure consistency and uniformity in the application of these standards.
