Individuals authorized base access, interested in the Uniformed Division Police Officer position, are invited to take the Police Officer Selection Test (POST).

Applicants are required bring a resume and a valid photo ID to the test.

Appropriate attire is recommended to attend the examination process. The process includes, an informational briefing, test administration and, if applicants successfully complete the test, a personal interview may be given. Therefore, applicants should allocate approximately five hours for the process.

It is important that all applicants carefully read the information on the Secret Service website concerning ALL aspects of the Uniformed Division Officer position.

Individuals residing in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area are invited to contact the U.S. Secret Service at (202) 406-7540 to register for the exam.

Applicants interested in applying for the position who reside outside of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area should contact the U.S. Secret Service field office nearest their current residence. The field office is responsible for interviewing and testing all local qualified applicants.
